On March 25, 2004, our beloved Amir was suddenly and tragically taken from us.
In what was described as a "freak" accident, Amir's vehicle overturned at 2pm on U.S. highway 95, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Amir was driving back to Stanford University, where he was pursuing a Ph.D. in the Learning Sciences and Technology Design program, a pioneering doctoral program dedicated to designing innovative learning technologies.
He leaves behind a mother, brother, and sister, as well as scores of friends and relatives.
