So far this school has surpassed all my expectations: The professors and classes are fascinating, the campus is an architectural masterpiece, the weather is clement, the people are nice, the streets are bike friendly, everybody plays frisbee, the campus network is 100 mb/s and they have cool priceless scultures and fountains everywhere. Also, I have a fresh lemon tree 5 feet from my front door. Still I miss all my friends back east and if any of you are ever in the neighborhood or just wants to come visit you have got a place to stay by me.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
For those that do not know, today is my last day at Visible World. I have been working here for 2 1/2 years, and it has been a great experience for me to be a part of a community of so many talented people. I have grown personally and professionally through my contact with all of you and I am grateful for all that you have taught me.
My plans for the next few months are just to take it easy and spend time with my family. In the fall, if all goes well, i will be starting a Ph.D program at Stanford in educational technology.
For now, I can be reached at at 646-418-8554, or at
Best wishes and best of luck to all of you! -amir

Subject: manhattan vs brooklyn exhibition results

The manhattan vs brooklyn game was a big success with about 10 men and 1 women on each side battling it out for the pride of their borough. At first emotions ran high as these two implacable foes faced off in this historic match. A see-saw battle ensued as both sides refused to yield to their opponent from across the river. But as the game wore on and the sun slowly set over the hudson a grudging appreciation dawned in the hearts of everyone involved. Sure we may be from different boroughs but dont our similarities outweigh our differences? Soon it became clear who the real enemy was: The soccer players who kicked us off promptly at 7:30. Perhaps symbolically, the game ended in a tie 21-21.
